GENLITEC POWER successfully delivered more than 20 sets of mobile lighting towers to Indonesia for use in the mining industry. The equipment selected for the project was the GLT1600L-9MY mobile lighting tower.

Project Overview

Mining operations often continue around the clock and require dependable lighting in working areas after sunset. Open-pit mines, access roads, equipment areas and temporary work zones can cover large areas, making flexible mobile lighting an important part of site operations.

For this Indonesian mining project, more than 20 GLT1600L-9MY mobile lighting towers were supplied to provide independent lighting wherever additional illumination was required.

The GLT1600L-9MY is a 9-metre manual lifting mobile lighting tower equipped with four 400W LED floodlights. The LED lighting system provides high-efficiency illumination while reducing energy consumption compared with traditional metal halide lighting systems.

The lighting tower is powered by an original YANMAR diesel engine, providing independent power for the lighting system. Its mobile configuration allows the equipment to be relocated between different working areas according to changing mining requirements.

The 9-metre vertical mast elevates the LED floodlights above the working area, helping provide broader illumination across open mining and work zones. This makes the GLT1600L-9MY suitable for demanding outdoor applications where reliable and flexible lighting is required.
